SONG OF THE TIMES SQUARE CHARACTERS.

Sung to the tune of "The Jet Song" from West Side Story (1957) Leonard Bernstein and Stephen Sondheim.

Aggressive panhandling costumed characters spread from Times Square to The Battery, Coney Island, sparking turf war.

MINNIE MOUSE:
When you're a mouse
You're a mouse all the way
From your first cigarette
To your last dying day.

NAKED WOMEN PAINTED LIKE FLAGS:
When you've got tits
Painted red, white and blue
You're the queen of the square
Elmo bows down to you.

ELMO:
The Muppets are here
And tourists do our biddin'
We're hanging a sign
Residents forbidden
And we ain't kiddin'.

MINNIE MOUSE:
Here Minnie comes
Like a mouse out of hell
Someone gets in my way
someone don't feel so well.

STATUE OF LIBERTY:
When you're Miss Liberty
You own the town
You're the green-colored girl
With the green, pointy crown.

ELMO:
The Muppets are here
So keep your cameras clicking
Then pay out the rear
Or you will get kicking, I don't mean tickling.

TOGETHER:
Here come the cops
Yeah and they're gonna beat
Every last begging jerk
On the whole begging street
On the whole fugging
Tourist mugging street.
